The g.a.p youth E.S.T.E.E.M. Leadership Programme is a collaboration of individuals, community organisations, schools, colleges and universities and the private sector to help prepare our youth to face challenges and overcome obstacles they may face in the future, and is broken down into 7 categories as follows:

  1. Enterprise - encourage enterprise amongst young people by providing successful positive celebrity role models and local successful entrepreneurs to share the secrets of their success in order to motivate and inspire young people to become successful entrepreneurs.. A road show with a panel of experts and celebrity entrepreneurs will do a national tour to share business advice, company formation, networking tips and access to finance.  
     
  2. Sport - identify and develop talented and potentially talented young people within sport.  

  3. Training- Train youth via nationally accredited courses to obtain vocational skills and qualifications to become lawyers; also they will be trained in life skills, sexual and mental health, financial literacy (via games and exercises).  IT literacy, CV writing, interview skills, motivational and orientation, dress codes (looking into aspects of stereotypes), and interview appearances  

  4. Education – g.a.p youth are the future leaders, teachers and entrepreneurs; they will make the world of tomorrow possible.  The g.a.p Youth Role Models (E.S.T.E.E.M) Leadership Programme education campaign is designed to collaborate with & support community based organisations and individual schools in areas of reading literacy, IT, maths, and character/leadership development programmes. Our campaign targets youth that are at-risk, in communities considered underserved.G.a.p Youth Role Models E.S.T.E.E.M. Leadership Programme endeavours to create effective partnerships between community-based organisation, corporations, & the educational community.

  5. G.a.p Youth E.S.T.E.E.M. Leadership Programme will work with the schools and organise school tours for young people to visit places like The Treasury, Houses of Commons, Financial Institutions e.g. Barclays Bank PLC etc and to raise their aspirations & have the opportunity to meet some of their employees.  G.a.p Youth Role Models E.S.T.E.E.M Leadership Programme will create Reading Support Programmes to go into Primary Schools to encourage the reading abilities of disadvantaged youth. The Programme has a goal which will help the young people to obtain at least 5 A-C Grades GSCE.

  6. (Employment) – Working with our partners with the support of Job Centre Plus & Barclays Bank PLC we will provide youth with employability skills and help them attain employment & self employment by helping youth research their business idea & career options providing access to funding where necessary through access to finance/funding. 

  7. (Mentoring) – develop their self-esteem, leadership skills & ability to work with others
Academic Mentoring aims to help school children who are at risk of school failure to improve their academic performance and attendance while reducing their disciplinary problems which also provides assistance to older youth who may be thinking of entering further or higher education.  Business mentoring is also provided to youth involved in business start ups.  Young People will be encouraged to become Magistrates or get into politics through our partners, Operation Black Vote.
